not just any old studio; we are StudioU
This might come as a surprise, but StudioU is probably smaller than you think. Aside from the small team of wonderful people who help out with anything legal, finance and other business-y stuff, and our team of talented play-testers, the studio's creative side is actually managed by just one person - Ursa! She's the not only the CCO, but a developer, builder, designer, an overall jack-of-all-trades, and the main cog in keeping the StudioU wheel turning.
Skinpack designer, builder, add-on developer... the list goes on. Her favourite building style is fantasy, though she is partial to 'a little bit of Bauhaus', too!
For all things legal, and business-y, the admin team may well be faceless, but StudioU couldn't function without them! We're good at Minecraft, but taxes... taxes are well and truly beyond us.
Our very special play-testers put all of our products through rigorous testing, prior to release. They look for any bugs or exploits that might have arisen in earlier development!
StudioU wouldn't be StudioU without, well, 'U'! The awesome community of gamers who love our products just as much as we do!
While we might be new to the scene, StudioU is committed to creating and delivering high quality, meaningful projects to the Minecraft Marketplace, and pushing the boundaries of the game.
With in-game experience stemming back to 2012, we're far from out of our depth when it comes to building, map-making and add-on development. In fact, we love to create immersive, story-led adventures, visually stunning worlds and fun behaviour/resource packs!
In the future, we'd love to partner with teachers in introducing Minecraft as a tool in education. In our eyes, gaming and learning should be inter-connected, and we want to do our bit in bridging the gaming-classroom divide.
We're also all for advocating for our friends with additional accessibility requirements. In fact, the studio founder and CCO, Ursa, is disabled!
StudioU is, fundamentally, for you, for me, and for everyone. We wholeheartedly believe that, in order to create a game for everyone, we need to see it from everyone's perspective. Regardless of gender, race, religion, background, or other demographics, we aim to ensure that everyone is included. By embracing our difference, we will become stronger; and our content will, too!
Our team is always on the lookout for fresh talent, and we hold the belief that everyone should have an equal opportunity to follow their dreams. We are still growing and learning every day. There will be times where we are not perfect, but we understand that individuality is what makes us unique, and by embracing our varied backgrounds, we empower our company to flourish.
